PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS INFORMATION BEFORE SENDING AN OPEN MIC REQUEST. WE WILL NOT RESPOND TO REQUESTS NOT SENT DURING THE CORRECT SIGNUP PERIOD.

SIGNUP INSTRUCTIONS: To get a spot in the Wednesday Open Mic: send an email ON WEDNESDAY before 3pm; for Friday: send one ON FRIDAY before 3pm.  Send to: info@brodytheater.com with the subject “open mic” or if you are a member of the Portland Comics Facebook group, send a message via Facebook to Tom Johnson. If you get your request in on time, assume you have a spot. You will NOT hear back from us unless the mic is full and you do not have a spot. We won’t sign you up if your request is not sent on the day of the open mic before 3pm.

Open mic slots are 4 to 5 minutes depending on the number of performers. Doors for Wednesday open a little after 9pm.  There’s a class until 9. Please try to keep noise outside the door to a moderate level. 

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR FRIDAYS: Doors for Friday’s open mic open at approximately 11:30pm on Fridays that DO HAVE A FLY ASS JOKES SHOW, and approximately 10:00pm ON NIGHTS WITH NO FLY ASS JOKES SHOW. If you plan to attend Fly-Ass, please arrive before it starts. Open Mic performers cannot enter in the middle of Fly-Ass Jokes or come and go during it.

Open Mic admission is now free for non performers, with a one-item minimum purchase.
